Dale Coyne with Vasser Sullivan Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais in the No.18 Team SealMaster Honda heads into this weekend’s Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio sports car course aiming to build on his strong performance last time out in Iowa where he started the race from 19th place and brought the car home inside the top ten.
Speaking ahead of the race this weekend the Frenchman said:
I’m looking forward to racing at Mid-Ohio again. I have shown a lot of pace in the last few years, including a pole in 2014 and in this year’s IMSA race. It’s a circuit I enjoy very much with some elevation changes and a great flow of curves that spreads from slow to very fast speeds. Results haven’t been great other than a podium in 2014, but following last year’s showing in the SealMaster Honda No. 18, overcoming a start at the back of the field to finish sixth in an all green race, it would feel awesome to get the result we are capable of.”
Santino Ferruccci in the No.19 Cly Del Honda is looking forward to heading back to Mid-Ohio, a circuit where he has raced before.
It’s nice to be going to Mid-Ohio this weekend. It’s a track I know and one I’ve raced well at, getting multiple podiums back when I first started racing cars in 2013,” said Ferrucci. “I’m happy to be going back. The track at Mid-Ohio is super fun to drive and it has a lot of rhythm to it. It’s always a pleasure. The racing there is really good and there’s a fair amount of strategy as well. I think the team has had a good package there, so hopefully we can finish out these three races in a row with a good result.
