When asked about what he can expect with the power difference between Chevrolet and Honda, the Frenchman said that it was a difficult question but that with the progress that Honda have made over the 2016 season he is confident that with the team of engineers that they have assembled at Dale Coyne Racing that they will be in a strong position for 2017.

Bourdais will get his first opportunity to test the Honda engine when he drives for Dale Coyne Racing in a Verizon IndyCar Series test at Gateway Motorsports Park on Thursday, joining his fellow drivers as preparations for 2017 continue.
