Sebastien Bourdais heads into whatBourdais might be his last race for KVSH Racing in 12th place in the Verizon IndyCar Series standings. The Frenchman is one of only four non Penske drivers to have won a race in 2016 having won race 1 of the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit.
Last time out at the IndyCar Grand Prix at Watkins Glen presented by Hitachi, Bourdais started the race from third and finished the race in fifth place just behind Conor Daly and just ahead of Charlie Kimball. Speaking ahead of the race this weekend, Bourdais stated:
Unfortunately, KVSH Racing didn’t test at Sonoma (last) week, but we have had a good race car on the permanent road circuits this year – especially last (race) weekend at Watkins Glen. Hopefully, we will come off the transporter with a good baseline and be competitive. The season finale in Sonoma is worth double points, so we still have a chance to finish in the top 10 and that is our goal. We just have to keep working hard and do the best we can.
