KVSH Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais in the No.11 Team Hydroxycut Chevrolet heads to the IndyCar Grand Prix at Watkins Glen this weekend following a 10th place finish at the Texas Motor Speedway last weekend.
The Frenchman finished the race in 10th place, it was his fifth consecutive top ten finish on an oval circuit.
Bourdais is currently in 14th place in the Verizon IndyCar Series points standings with two races remaining this season. Bourdais is just 72 points away from Josef Newgarden who is in fifth place in the standings.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s race Bourdais commented by saying:
The Hydroxycut-KVSH Racing Team had a good test at Watkins Glen. We ended up in the top-three, but obviously, track and weather conditions could be different this weekend. However, based on the test I think we should come off the transporter with a good baseline setup. We haven’t qualified well on the road courses this year because we’ve struggled with the red (alternate) tires. Hopefully, we can improve in that area and start at the front of the grid at Watkins Glen. We’re down to the last two races of the season and if we are going to finish in the top-10 in the points, we have to have a good result this weekend.
This weekend’s race is KVSH Racing’s first Verizon IndyCar Series event at the Watkins Glen International circuit.
