Chip Ganassi Racing is set to run a fourth car for the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500, presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, May 25.

It has been revealed that Sébastien Bourdais, who was part of Chip Ganassi Racing’s IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship driver line-up and Champ Car champion, Will drive a fourth Honda entry for Ganassi with sponsorship from Carvana.

Paddock Eye has learned that former INDYCAR driver and seven-time NASCAR Cup SERIES champion Jimmie Johnson and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, in partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing, will run a fourth car for The Greatest Spectacle In Racing with primary sponsorship from Carvana, who has served as primary sponsor to Jimmie Johnson in both INDYCAR and NASCAR.

Jimmies Johnson, Tom Brady, and Chip Ganassi will own the fourth car.

Bourdais would need to run the veteran refresher program, as the last time the Frenchman competed in the Greatest Spectacle In Racing was in 2021 with AJ Foyt Racing.

The St Petersburg, Florida, resident is no stranger to the Chip Ganassi Racing NTT INDYCAR SERIES team, as he spent the 2024 season working alongside Kyffin Simpson as a driver coach.
