Dale Coyne Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais has become the latest Verizon IndyCar Series driver to hit out at the Haas F1 Team and their boss Gunther Steiner.
Steiner said recently that having an American driver in the team was not high on their priority list.
When the team entered Formula One prior to the 2016 season, Danica Patrick had been considered for a drive but it never materialised.
Steiner also said that at the moment, no American driver are currently ready for Formula One.
These comments have angered several drivers including Graham Rahal, Conor Daly and Verizon IndyCar Series champion Josef Newgarden.
Four time Champ Car champion and former Toro Rosso driver Sebastien Bourdais told the IndyCar website:
Clearly there is no consideration. They (F1) are in their own little bubble on their own island. Either you play their game and get rated on their game, or you are just not rated at all.
