Pirtek Team Murray’s Matt Brabham, the grandson of motor racing legend Sir Jack Brabham will make his eagerly awaited Verizon IndyCar Series race debut this weekend as he enters the field for the Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis in preparation for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil which takes place in just over two weeks time.
Speaking ahead of his IndyCar debut, Brabham commented by saying:
These last six months have just gone so quickly and it is hard to believe that I will be making my Indy car debut in the Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis this week. To have a full-time Indy dar career is the ultimate goal and this month is the next step in achieving that ambition. I think I am as ready I can be. At the end of the day it is about getting as many laps under my belt as possible and learning as much as possible from the experience and the talent that has been built around me. We want to have speed, but we also want to bank as much knowledge as we can on things like pit stops and communication before we head to the Indy 500.
