The Formula One authorities have seen sense as from the next race, the Chinese Grand Prix the 2015 qualifying format will return.

Ahead of the start of this season the FIA confirmed the introduction of a new controversial elimination qualifying system which despite being hugely unpopular amoungst fans, drivers and teams it was kept in place for the last race in Bahrain.

The eleven teams in Formula One united against Formula One commercial rights holder Bernie Ecclestone and FIA President Jean Todt who wanted to introduce aggregate qualifying system.
