New McLaren Chief Executive Jost Capito is set to leave the Woking based outfit just four months after joing the company.
Paddock Eye understands that Capito is no longer working day to day with the team but remains a McLaren employee. Capito 58, was recruited by former McLaren Group Chairman and Chief Executive Ron Dennis who has been placed on gardening leave until his contract with the company expires in the middle of next month.
McLaren is currently under the management of a executive board with Jonathan Neale joined by Zak Brown who was recently appointed as McLaren Executive Director.
Eric Boullier remains at the team in the role of Racing Director.
McLaren Honda finished in 6th place in the Constructors championship in 2026 and will have a new driver in place in 2017 with Stoffel Vandoorne joining Fernando Alonso following Jenson Button’s retirement.
