The IndyCar Radio Network are reporting at Iowa Speedway this evening that following the departure of McLaren Racing Director Eric Boullier that McLaren’s 2019 Verizon IndyCar Series programme will not happen as the outfit concentrate on getting their Formula One operation.

McLaren CEO Zak Brown has reiterated that they have yet to make a decision about their IndyCar programme for 2019 and speaking to Channel 4 F1 on Saturday in Silverstone Brown said that he was hopeful of keeping Fernando Alonso within the McLaren organisation in some shape or form.

The IndyCar Radio Network are reporting that team owner Michael Andretti who was the most likely to partner his Andretti Autosport team with McLaren is looking for a definite answer from McLaren as time is running out for his outfit to hire new people in order to run a fifth car full-time in the series next season.
