AJ Foyt Racing confirmed on Thursday that Charlie Kimball who raced for the team during the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series season will return to the team in a third Chevolet entry with sponsorship from NovoNordisk.
The Californian will drive the No.11 Tresiba Chevrolet in both the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis and the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 30. Speaking about his return to the team, Kimball commented saying:
“I am excited to once again represent Novo Nordisk and the diabetes community and to join AJ Foyt Racing for the month of May. “I have never run at Indianapolis without Novo Nordisk and to be able to return this year with the support of the legendary A.J. Foyt, Larry Foyt, and everyone at AJ Foyt Racing, will certainly be special.”
“It’s awesome to have Charlie and Novo Nordisk back for the month of May. “They were both great to work with throughout the challenges of 2020, and I’m glad we can continue the program. Charlie is focused on producing great results, and we are working hard to put the best group together for success.”

Kimball joins team mate’s Sebastien Bourdais and Dalton Kellett, ironically, the Californian will race with the No.11 which Bourdais drove while racing for KVSH Racing.
