Williams Martini Racing’s Felipe Massa took to his official intagram on Saturday morning to announce his retirement from Formula One.
The Brazilian who came out of retirement this season to replace Valtteri Bottas posted a video to make the announcement. He thanked Williams, his fans and his family for supporting him.
Massa heads to his home race, the Brazilian Grand Prix in 11th place in the championship on 36 points.
The news means that Williams have three drivers to choose from to partner Lance Stroll in 2018 with Robert Kubica, Paul DiResta and Daniil Kvyat all in the running for the seat alongside Stroll.
