Ireland’s Craig Breen says that he is focused on hitting the ground running with the M-Sport Ford WRC Team in the 2022 FIA World Rally Championship season-opening Rally Monte Carlo in January.
Breen and co-driver Paul Nagle were announced as the M-Sport Ford World Rally Championship team’s lead drivers for the 2022 and 2023 FIA World Rally Championship season’s last week as the FIA World Rally Championship ushers in a new hybrid era in 2022 with the introduction of the Rally1 car.
Breen and Nagle have already tested the M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally1 car with Breen extremely impressed with what he has seen so far from the car and the team confirming that the Cumbrian outfit has been working extremely hard in their workshop preparing the new cars for the 2022 season.
Breen scored a hat-trick of podium finishes in his final three consecutive events this season with Hyundai and is in sixth place in the championship on 76 points having completed a partial program with Hyundai this season.
