HYUNDAI SHELL MOBIS WORLD RALLY TEAM’S Craig Breen says that he hopes his experience on tarmac rally events will give him an advantage as the FIA World Rally Championship heads to Croatia for the first time in its history.

Speaking to Paddock Eye during a Zoom call on Wednesday before the event, the Waterford native said that he would like to get a podium if he can this weekend but understands that it is going to be difficult given the road conditions and his road position on Friday.

Breen said that the same target he had in Arctic Rally, a podium would be very nice but that he and co-driver Paul Nagle will have to push very hard in order to achieve this result.

Breen’s aim to end Friday in a good position to go into the weekend with and fight up front on Saturday and Sunday and he confirmed that he has been wanting to do a tarmac rally in the WRC car for a number of years.
