Ireland’s Craig Breen could be set for a move to Toyota Gazoo Racing for the 2019 FIA World Rally Championship season.
Paddock Eye understands that the Waterford native who currently competes for Citroën Racing is in the frame to join his former team mate Kris Meeke at the Finnish team next season.
Speaking about his future at last weekend’s Wales Rally GB where he finished in fifth, Breen said that he is in talks with all four manufacturers for next season.
Citroën announced last week that M-Sport’s Sebastien Ogier will return to the team next season and it is believed that Esapekka Lappi could joinhim at the team.
It is expected that former Citroën driver Kris Meeke will be announced as a Toyota driver for 2019 next week alongside Ott Tanak.
Toyota team principal Tommi Makkinen is a fan of Breen’s and if they sign the Irishman he would join the team on a full-time basis.
