Citroen Racing WRC driver Craig Breen said he was on top of the world after securing his best WRC result at Rally Sweden.
The Waterford native finished the event in second place behind winner Thierry Neuville.
Speaking following the event, Breen commented by saying:
I’m not going to cry this time. It’s awesome, I’m absolutely on top of the world, a bit of a stepping stone this weekend. I have to thank every single person around me. It’s been difficult this past year but the boys have made this work.
Mads Ostberg had a great event as he finished the event in 6th place, 01.08.6s behind winner Thierry Neuville.
Speaking following the event he commented by saying:
An amazing weekend. So nice to be back at Citroën. I’ve really enjoyed it but I felt my lack of experience in this car. But to be here after just half a day of testing, to be so competitivec and bring home points makes me really pleased. I am just crossing my fingers for the future. I want to do more rallies in this car.
Kris Meeke in the third C3 WRC had an extremely disappointing event as he ended the event in 15th place.
Speaking following the event, Meeke commented by saying:
It pushed all the loose snow into the ruts.
