Stewart Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe in the No.98 Ford Mustang took an extremely emotional victory in this evening’s first Xfinity Series race since March 7 at Darlington Raceway.

Kyle Busch led the way for Joe Gibbs Racing bit was handed a drive through penalty for speeding on the pit lane.

Speaking following the race, Briscoe whose wife Marissa suffered a miscarriage earlier this week he said:

This is for my wife. This has been the hardest week. “When I took the lead, I was crying in my car. This is more than a race win. This is the biggest win of my life after the toughest day of my life. To be able to beat the best there is is so satisfying.”
