The Alpine F1 Team announced on Sunday that they have appointed for Suzuki MotoGP team boss Davide Brivio as their new Racing Director.
The Alpine F1 Team, formerly the Renault F1 Team have brought Fernando Alonso back on a two year contract and will join Esteban Ocon. The news of Brivio’s arrival comes just days after it was announced that Renault Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul has left the company.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday the Enstone outfit said:
Davide will report to the Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi.
Davide joins @AlpineF1Team with a wealth of experience and success following more than 20 years in the MotoGP World Championship.
We look forward to welcoming Davide as we start the next stage of our Formula 1 journey.
