McLaren Executive Director Zak Brown has confirmed that he will join Fernando Alonso at this weekend’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, round three of 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series season.

Brown has also revealed that McLaren Andretti Honda have confirmed a date for Alonso’s first IndyCar test but has refused to make it public just yet as they want to create hype on social media.

The McLaren Executive Director has also confirmed that he wants the Indianapolis 500 to become an annual feature on McLaren’s racing schedule.

The American has however stated thst the company has no immediate plans to entry the Verizon IndyCar Series full-time due to the time needed to such a project up and running.
