Sky Sport F1 HD commentator Martin Brundle has revealed that he suffered a minor heart attack directly after last years Monaco Grand Prix.

Speaking at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham’s NEC Arena, Brundle confirmed that while he was running up to do the podium interviews following the race and Sky’s LIVE race broadcast he suffered a small heart attack however at the time he did not realize how serious the issue was.

Brundle underwent heart surgery missing the Canadian Grand Prix as a result and the former Formula One driver revealed that he had a 23mm stent inserted in his lest anterior descending.
