Renault Sport F1 Team’s Nico Hulkenberg has said that judging by his experience of the new 2017 cars in the Renault team simulator, the new 2017 cars under the new regulations with be brutally fast.
The German believes that the new cars will be incredibly fast through turns 3 and 9 in particular.
Speaking to Auto Moto Und Sport, Hulkenberg believes the DRS effect this season will be more pronounced compared to last years cars. The German believes that in Monte Carlo with the wider cars drivers will be unable to overtake.
Hulkenberg revealed that he began training for the new season before Christmas and got right back into it after Christmas.
Winter testing gets underway on February 27 in Barcelona with the opening race of the 2017 season, the Australian Grand Prix taking place on March 26 in Melbourne’s Albert Park.
