Chase Carey, the new Formula One Chairman has brought up the idea of bringing in a budget cap that would be policed by the FIA.
Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne believes however that such an idea would not work. The Italian/Canadian has also revealed that despite initiatives brought in to help curb spending that Ferrari have not in fact reduced any of their spending.
Marchionne believes that if a cap was to be brought in it would limit teams ability to develop there cars.
Ferrari who are the oldest team on the grid threatened to pull out of the sport in 2009 when the idea of a budget cap was last brought up. Marchionne has coincided however that something needs to be done to limit team spending.
