Chip Ganassi Racing owner Chip Ganassi says his new NASCAR Cup Series driver Kurt Busch could compete in the Indianapolis 500 with his IndyCar team in the future.
Busch who will drive the No.1 Monster Energy car has expressed an interest in returning to compete in the Indianapolis 500.
Busch finished sixth in his last outing in the Indianapolis 500.
Ganassi says that the circumstances have to be right for all parties involved to do it and that it is not just a case that the pair will come together to do it, their commercial partners have to ensure the timing is right for such a move.
Ganassi will field two cars in the IndyCar Series in 2019 with Felix Rosenqvist driving the No.10 NTT DATA Honda alongside defending series champion Scott Dixon in the No.9 PNC Bank Honda.
