Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kurt Busch who competes in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series with the team says he is talking to the team about the possibility of competing in some NTT IndyCar Series races alongside his NASCAR Cup commitments.
Chip Ganassi Racing announced early this month that they will run three cars in the NTT IndyCar Series in 2020 with Marcus Ericsson joining five time series champion Scott Dixon and 2019 NTT IndyCar Series rookie of the year Felix Rosenqvist.
Busch, 41 drove for Andretti Autosport in the 2014 Indianapolis 500 where he finished in sixth place. Paddock Eye understands that Busch could be in the running for a fourth entry in the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 next May.
It is understood that the Indianapolis 500 isn’t the only NTT IndyCar Series race that Busch is interested in competing in.
