NASCAR Cup Series star and 2017 Daytona 500 winner Kurt Busch has ruled himself out of competing in May’s 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

Busch who competed in the race in 2014 with Andretti Autosport has confirmed that he has not been appoached by Michael Andretti about running a fifth Andretti Autosport entry at Indianapolis this year.

Busch confirmed that he did receive congratulations texts from IndyCar team owners but that he has had no offers to run the Indianapolis 500.

Busch also revealed that having won the Daytona 500 for Steeart Haas Racing this season his schedule has gotten busier and he would not have time to commit to the race even though he would have loved to have raced in the Indy 500 again.

Andretti Autosport have confirmed that they plan to enter five cars at the Indianapolis 500 this year.
