Defending Formula One world champion Max Verstappen took a leisurely Sunday drive in Silverstone.

The Sutch driver scored his sixth race win a row and Red Bull’s eleventh in succession equaling McLaren’s record.

Lando Norris was second for McLaren just ahead of Lewis Hamilton who came from seventh to finish the race in third.

Oscar Piastri scored his career-best finish of fourth place having started the race from third place.

George Russell was fifth while Sergio Perez came through the field to finish in sixth place.

Fernando Alonso was seventh just ahead of Alex Albon who scored points in Williams 800th Grand Prix.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz rounded out the top ten.

Logan Sargeant was 11th just ahead of Valtteri Bottas who came through the field from 20th.

Nico Hulkenberg was 13th just ahead of Lance Stroll who was handed a 5s penalty.

Zhou Guanyu was 15th just ahead of Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck De Vries while Pierre Gasly was forced to retire from the race as was Kevin Magnussen who suffered an engine failure. Esteban Ocon also retired from the race.
