Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team test and reserve driver Tatiana Calderón completed 202 laps over two days of testing with the outfit in the Ferrari powered C32.
The 25 year old Colombian completed 594.890KM in total with her fastest lap just under three seconds above Michael Schumacher’s Fiorano lap record.
Tatiana concentrated on qualifying and race simulations.
The team were delighted with her excellent performance and speaking following the two day test Calderón said:
It was another interesting day of testing. We focused on qualifying simulations in the morning, and long-runs in the afternoon. Overall, the past two days have been very beneficial to my development and I have gained valuable experience. The team did a great job in the preparation as well as the implementation of my programme and I felt comfortable in the car as well as on the track. I look forward to putting what I have learned to practice.
Calderón has completed many miles in two different cars including the 2018 C37 so it is possible that the Colombian is being lined up to take part in next week’s end of season Pirelli test in Abu Dhabi.
