Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team test and reserve driver Tatiana Calderon is ready for her chance in Formula One.
The 25 year old Colombian tested a Formula One car in Mexico last week and instantly impressed Sauber bosses with her feedback and her pace in the car. As the event was a filming day with the 2018 car, she was limited to the amount of mileage she could do but still had a productive day where there was no trouble with the car.
Calderon said that driving the car was like something on the Playstation and she was happy with the 23 laps that she completed in the C37. The team were also impressed with how she was able to lower her lap times consistently during the day.
Although the test was just a filming day it was a chance for the Colombian to get up to speed with the new era hybrid power in Formula One and in this reporters opinion we will see Tatiana Calderon taking part in a Free Practice session at a Grand Prix in 2019.
