Tatiana Calderón returns to racing this weekend at the Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium in Formula 2.

Speaking about the news, Calderón said:

“I am very happy to be able to relaunch my season, but more than anything, to be able to do it thanks to the support of Karol G, who has given me the opportunity to continue racing, to continue dreaming. I am huge fan of her music, but beyond that, of what she represents as a woman, of the path she continues to open empowering women to fight for their dreams. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Motorsport is one of the few sports where men and women can compete hand in hand if they give us the opportunities, which is what she is doing for my career, giving me this chance which we’ve been able to realize also thanks to AVL RaceTech and Claro-Telcel. We need more women in racing, in motorsports, we need more inclusion and initiatives that really promote it. Returning to Formula 2 will allow me to continue to measure myself at a very high level alongside my new team Charouz Racing System, to whom I also have to thank for this opportunity.”

Calderón was competing in the NTT IndyCar Series with AJ Foyt Racing on road and street course events until a few months ago due to funding issues with ROKiT.
