The Verizon IndyCar Series heads to California this weekend for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
The big surprise in the season opening Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg last month was the race pace of the Honda powered teams.
Sebastien Bourdais in his Honda powered Dale Coyne Racing car took victory and was joined on the podium by the Chevrolet powered Team Penske of reigning series champion Simon Pagenaud and Scott Dixon in the Honda powered Chip Ganassi Racing car.
Last season, Chevrolet had four cars in the top four at the end of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach with Pagenaud heads to California as the defending race winner having led a Team Penske 1-2 with Helio Castroneves coming home second and Scott Dixon completing the podium.
This year the circumstances have changed for Chevrolet having lost Ganassi to Honda, however they have gained an additional team with AJ Foyt Racing joining their ranks.
