The FIA and Formula One has released the 2026 Grand Prix calendar.
The 2026 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal will take place from May 22-24, the same weekend as the Greatest Spectacle In Racing, the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.
In previous years the Indianapolis 500 and the Monaco Grand Prix have clashed and it was thought that the championship calendars would not clash with each other.
This however, is not the case in 2026 as Formula One will be in North America at the same time as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES prepares for the biggest single day sporting event in the world.
The 2026 Formula One season ushers in an era for the sport with the arrival of new teams like Cadillac and Audi F1 while Ford returns to the sport as an engine partner to Oracle Red Bull Racing.
Speaking about the new calendar, Formula One President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said:
2026 will be a new era for Formula 1 where we will witness a brand-new set of regulations for our sport, the cars and the engines that will be powered by 100% sustainable fuel. We are excited to welcome Madrid to the calendar, and to see huge automotive brands like Audi, Cadillac and Ford join the Formula 1 grid. It promises to be an unforgettable season, where once again we will come together at 24 amazing globalvenues to watch the best drivers in the world push themselves to the limit and produce incredible wheel to wheel racing for our millions of fans watching around the globe. I want to thank all our fans for their passionate support and the FIA, with all the volunteers, marshals and officials, as well as the promoters, partners, sponsors, host cities and the local motor racing federations for their commitment and support in delivering this schedule in what I know will be another historic year for Formula 1.”
New to the Formula One calendar for 2026 is the Madring in Madrid which is a mix of road and street course sections.
