Trevor Carlin, team owner of the Carlin Racing NTT IndyCar Series team has confirmed that his outfit have formed what he calls a logistical and operational partnership with McLaren.
Speaking at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg on Saturday, Carlin said that he feels the deal will be beneficial to all involved.
McLaren Racing IndyCar president Bob Fernley is at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg along with Gil De Ferran. The pair have confirmed that Fernando Alonso will compete in just the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 26.
Alonso was in Charlotte this week driving laps of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Chevrolet simulator.
