NTT IndyCar Series team owner Trevor Carlin says he exploring all options when it comes to the second team entry for the 2020 season.
Max Chilton and Conor Daly will once again share the No.59 Gallagher Chevrolet this season with Chilton racing road and street street courses as well as the Indianapolis 500 in August.
Conor Daly will be loaned out to Carlin by Ed Carpenter Racing for oval events including the Indianapolis 500.
Speaking to Autosport Carlin says depending on what happens with COVID 19 he may bring one of his F2 drivers over to the US for the opening race of the season, the Genesys 300 at Texas Motor Speedway which takes place on Saturday June 6 behind closed doors.
Red Bull backed Jehan Daruvala is one driver under consideration for the second seat alongside Daly and Chilton but Carlin says it all depends on what happens with COVID 19.
Paddock Eye understands that Brazilian Felipe Nasr who conducted Spring Training for Carlin in the No.31 Chevrolet at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas in February is not under consideration at the moment given that the former F1 driver is competing in IMSA however with no sign of IMSA restarting anytime soon Nasr could be in the second car.
