Carlin Racing made history on Tuesday when they announced that they will join the Verizon IndyCar Series in 2018. Trevor Carlin’s outfit become the first British motor racing team to enter the Verizon IndyCar Series full-time.
Max Chilton returns to the team he raced for while racing in Europe and also when the Englishman first moved to the US following his time in Formula One.
Chilton will have backing from Arthur J Gallagher who served as primary sponsor to Chilton’s No.8 Honda at Chip Ganassi Racing during the 2017 season and it is means Gallagher and Chilton will head into their third season together.
Charlie Kimball joins the team having driven the No.83 Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing and brings with him sponsorship from NovoNordisk.
