The Carlin Racing NTT IndyCar Series team have gone through a pretty big change over the off seasons they head into their third year in the series.
Charlie Kimball has left the team to take up a full time return to the NTT IndyCar Series with AJ Foyt Racing.
The team have brought back Comor Daly to compete in all the oval races bar the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 24.
Daly will share the No.59 Gallagher Chevrolet with Max Chilton who returns to the series for road and street course events only and the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.
The team announced the return of Conor Daly for 2020 but they also confirmed that following a successful test with the team last week in Sebring that former Formula One driver Felipe Nasr will make his race debut for the team this weekend at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg.
Speaking about the new season, team owner Trevor Carlin said:
It’s no secret that the 2019 season was a bit challenging for us, but I am so proud of the way our team responded to the challenge coming out even stronger on the other side. We used this offseason to really focus on development and we feel that we’ve made some major strides forward. The amount of growth that our INDYCAR program has made in just two short years since we joined the series has been impressive to say the least, and we’re very proud to be coming back for our third consecutive season with two full-time entries.”
