Defending IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar champion Helio Castroneves says it is awesome to be back as reigning champion and speaking to Paddock Eye during a conference call in the final hours of the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, the three time Indianapolis 500 said a defending IMSA champion it is hard to stay away from the sport for long.

The Brazilian currently leads the overall race in the No.10 Konica Minolta Wayne Taylor Racing Dpi entry with Alexander Rossi currently in the car.

Speaking about his return to the NTT IndyCar Series season later this year, Castroneves said he is excited about the Meyer Shank Racing programme as he returns to the series in 2021 for a partial programme alongside Jack Harvey in the No.60 Honda.

Castroneves will compete in the Indianapolis 500 for Meyer Shank Racing who Castroneves says he has been impressed with the teams run at Daytona.
