Three time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves who will return to the NTT IndyCar Series on a partial programme with Meyer Shank Racing for the 2021 season alongside full-time driver Jack Harvey looks set for an additional race to his NTT IndyCar Series schedule.
The Brazilian who returned to NTT IndyCar Series competition in 2020, filling in for the injured Oliver Askew for Harvest Grand Prix doubleheader at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
Meyer Shank Racing announced last year that Castroneves will compete in six races in IndyCar for them in 2021 alongside Jack Harvey at Barber Motorsports Park, the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Indianapolis 500, the IMS road course, Portland and Laguna Seca.
The Tennessean are reporting that the Brazilian will join fellow Rolex 24 Hours competitor and seven time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson in the field for the inaugural Music City Grand Prix on the streets of Nashville when the NTT IndyCar Series heads there from August 6-8.
