Meyer Shank Racing’s Helio Castroneves in the No.06 Honda starts today’s season-ending Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach from third place having set a time of 01:08.4827s and speaking following the action the Brazilian commented saying:
“I am so thankful for SiriusXM and AutoNation and this whole MSR group, they have all been incredible. “We’ve been working on the process at each of the six races we’ve ran together this year. And today, we were able to stay in control, stay consistent, and stay fast. So P3 is a pretty good statement. But man, I love this place! I’m excited to be starting in the front, and really looking forward to the race tomorrow.”
Jack Harvey in his final race with Meyer Shank Racing starts the race from 25th place with a time of 01:10.4664s and speaking following the action he said:
It was a disappointing qualifying run and it was not how I wanted my last qualifying with MSR to go. “I haven’t really been a big ‘crasher’ the whole time I’ve been here so it’s a little bit of a bummer to have that happen in my last race with the team. We had quite a good lap going up until that point, so the pace is there. Hopefully we can just have a good race tomorrow.
