Team Penske’s Helio Castroneves in the No.3 Pennzoil Chevrolet heads into this weekend’s 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil aiming to join a unique club of four time Indianapolis 500 winners.
It is an interesting fact that should Helio win on Sunday he would become the fourth Verizon IndyCar Series drivers to win four Indianapolis 500’s joining the legends AJ Foyt, Al Unser and Rick Meyers.
Castroneves kicked off his month of May in style by finishing sixth in the IndyCar Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
‘Spider Man’ will start Sunday’s 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil from eighth place on the grid behind Ed Carpenter Racing’s Danica Patrick.
Castroneves, like Patrick has the bonus in the fact that they have just been able to focus on the Month of May and the Indianapolis 500 while most of the other drivers have been competing in the Verizon IndyCar Series full-time in 2018.
