This week marks EMS week in the United States and now more then ever is the time to show appreciation to the healthcare workers and first responders as they fight not just COVID 19 but other incidents. The world may still be in lockdown due to COVID 19 but for the families of EMS workers and first responders there is added worry due to the fact that their husbands, wives, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters are all working extra hard during these unprecedented times.

The NTT IndyCar Series were due to host the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge this Sunday 24th May, however the race has been postponed until at least Sunday August 23 due to the COVID 19 global pandemic.

The NTT IndyCar Series would not be able to go racing if it were not for the AMR Safety team who provide safety vehicles for the series for paramedics and firefighters along with the other safety crew members who are first on the scene when there is an accident on track. American Medical Response provide EMS teams with the tools necessary for paramedics to do their jobs such as ambulances and first responder vehicles.

As we get ready for Memorial Day weekend please think of the first responders and EMS teams who are working so hard during this horrendous time.

To nominate someone to be a Hoosier Hero visit The closing date for nominations is Monday May 25.
