Veloce Racing’s Jamie Chadwick took a lights to flag victory in race 2 of the 2021 W Series championship at the Red Bull Ring in Austria and in doing so has taken the lead in the championship as the series heads to her home race in Silverstone in two weeks time.

Chadwick came home just ahead of Inrina Sidorkova for Academy team was second just ahead of Ecurie W Team’s Emma Kimilainen and Sarah Moore of Scuderia W who came from eighth on the grid to finish the race in fourth place just ahead of Veloce Racing’s Bruno Tomaselli of Veloce Racing while Abbie Eaton of Ecurie W completed the top six.

Nerea Marti came home in seventh for Academy just ahead of last week’s winner Alice Powell of Racing X while Belen Garcia was ninth for Scuderia W. Fabienne Wohlwend rounded out the top ten for Bunker Racing.

Beitske Visser who stalled on the grid from the front row in her M.Forbes Motorsport car came back through the field to finish the race in eleventh place. Marta Garcia came home in 12th place for Puma just ahead of Sabre Cook came from the back of the field to finish the race in 13th place for Bunker Racing.

Ayla Agren came home in 14th place for M.Forbes Motorsports just ahead of Vicky Piria of Sirin Racing. Racing X’s Jessica Hawkins ended the race in 16th just ahead of Puma Racing’s Gosia Rdest while Miki Koyama rounded out the order for Sirin Racing. Next up is Silverstone in two weeks time.
