Gabby Chaves in the No.88 Harding Racing Chevrolet completed 212 laps in the five practice days prior to qualifying this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for next weekend’s 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
Chaves completed 37 laps on Fast Friday at the Speedway with the 29th fastest time of the day and speaking following the day of action, the Colombian commented by saying:
It was definitely a day of up and down, well more like down and up. We missed a crucial first two hours of practice this morning. We just couldn’t get the No. 88 Harding Racing car ready in time with the changes we made overnight, but we got out at the end and we got a lot of work done. I think we ended up in a spot where we can really take the next step and be right up where we feel we can perform.
