Harding Racing’s Gabby Chaves in the No.88 Harding Group Chevrolet said that he was glad to make the field for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil on Saturday.
Chaves ended the opening day of qualifying at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 23rd place with a four lap average speed of 225.808MPH.
Speaking following the session the Colombian commented by saying:
Glad to finish the day safely inside the show. Our Harding Racing #88 had some really good speed, but we weren’t really able to maximize the speed that we thought we had. It was good enough to land us safely inside and now we’re going to look overnight and find a way to make the car really fast so we can start as close as we can to the front.
