Verizon IndyCar Series driver Gabby Chaves started a new chapter in his car on Wednesday when he tested for his new team Harding Racing at Texas Motor Speedway.
It was confirmed earlier this week that Chaves will drive the No.88 Chevrolet running by Harding Racing in the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil next month.
Speaking about the partnership, Chaves stated:
Just really happy, there are a lot of good guys around me here that definitely give me a good shot of winning this thing.
Chaves revealed that his run at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next month is not a one off.
The Colombian said that te owner Mile Harding is in the sport for the long-term is working towards a full-time programme for Chaves in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
Chaves said that the deal came together in January and that is extremely proud of the team around him as they worked extremely hard to ensure that the chassis was ready to run at the open test at Texas Motor Speedway.
