The Verizon IndyCar Series heads to Pocono Raceway on August 21 for the ABC Supply 500 and while all eyes are on the race for the drivers title where Team Penske’s Simon Pagenaud holds a 58 point advantage over team mate Will Power there is also the small matter of the manufacturer’s championship race between Chevrolet and Honda.

Chevrolet are currently leading the way in the championship on 1,255 points despite receiving a 20 point deduction following Max Chilton’s failure at the Honda Indy 200 at Mid Ohio last time out.

Honda scored 99 points at Mid Ohio and were also awarded 30 points as a result of three of their engines reaching their 2,500 mile threshold with Graham Rahal, Carlos Munoz and Jack Hawksworth. Honda go to the next race at Pocono on 1,164 points.
