Chip Ganassi Racing have come into the 2020 NTT IndyCar Series seasom very strong with five time series champion Scott Dixon, driver of the No.9 PNC Bank Honda leading the charge, according to fellow NTT IndyCar Series driver and NBC Sports analyst James Hinchcliffe.
Speaking to his new colleague and former IndyCar driver Townsend Bell, the Mayor of HinchTown praised the work that Chip Ganassi Racing have done during the off-season and he believes that the added time off due to COVID-19 may have helped the team in their preparation for the new season.
Hinch didn’t just praise Dixon but he also feels that his former team mate Marcus Ericsson who joined Ganassi over the winter and Felix Rosenqvist have been quick in the opening two races of the season.
Scott Dixon dominated the opening two races of the season in Texas and again on Saturday on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course in the the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis. Hinch will join Lee Diffey, Paul Tracey and Townsend Bell in the NBC Sports broadcast booth for this weekend’s REV Group Grand Prix of Road America doubleheader.
James Hinchcliffe will return to the cockpit of the No.29 Genesys Honda for the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Augst 23, however speaking to Paddock Eye aheadvof the start of the season in Texas, Hinch said he was working on adding more IndyCar races to his 2020 schedule.
