Newly crowned Verizon IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon says that Chip Ganassi Racing is a fun team to be with and that they are like a family, everyone from the ground up and that he wouldn’t be where he is today without the support of the team.

The Iceman who recently signed a multi-year contract extension with Chip Ganassi Racing claimed his fifth series champion last Sunday in Sonoma after finishing second to Ryan Hunter Reay.

Speaking to NBCSN during his championship media tour Dixon said that he is going after number six next season.

The Iceman also praised Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi for being such a great competitor in 2018 and that he expects the Californian to win loads of championsships.
