Chip Ganassi confirmed on Wednesday that they have entered into a new partnership with Granta Design in order to maximize car design efficiency.
The new partnership will see Granta Design work with all of the Chip Ganassi Racing Teams. The company have developed new PC software called CES Selector which together with Ganassi’s existing software programme’s will enhance and simplify the search process for information on materials that are fundamental to the car design process.
The new software will be utilized by the engineering departments within Chip Ganassi Racing Teams.
Speaking about the new partnership, John Probst, Technical Director at Chip Ganassi Racing Teams commented by saying:
Chip Ganassi Racing is looking forward to utilizing the CES Selector software to make more intelligent material selection decisions. The extensive database offered by the software allows us to compare and select suitable materials and manufacturing processes for all applications of the vehicle. As a racing team our main goal is to win races and with a product like CES Selector we’re putting ourselves in the best possible position to make that goal a reality.
The announcement of the new partnership comes as the Chip Ganassi Racing IndyCar Team get set for the first full pre-season test which gets underway at Phoenix International Raceway on Friday.
