Team Penske president Tim Cindric have confirmed that their is still a possibility that Juan Pablo Montoya could run for Penske in 2017 but on a part time schedule.
Cindric has said that when the team sat down with Montoya earlier in the season and offered him a seat for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.
This option is highly unlikely as Montoya told Penske that he has unfinished business in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
There are a number of options for Montoya for next season, he could join his former Ganassi team mate Jimmy Vasser, co-owner of the KVSH Racing team as it is widely believed that Sebastien Bourdais will join Dale Coyne Racing next season.
Chip Ganassi is also an option as is AJ Foyt Racing and Ed Carpenter Racing, it will be interesting to what happens in the next few weeks.
