President of Honda Performance Development Ted Klaus was delighted with Acura Team Penske’s victory in Sunday’s Acura Sportscar Challenge at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar course.

Team Penske’s Dane Cameron started the race from pole position and he and team mate Juan Pablo Montoya came home in seventh place while their team mate’s Helio Castroneves and Ricky Taylor took their third win in a row while Team Penske scored their third win at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar course in a row.

Speaking following the action on Sunday, Ted Klaus said:

Congratulations to everyone at Acura Team Penske for their third consecutive win in our ‘signature’ event, the Acura Sportscar Challenge at Mid-Ohio. We wish all of our Ohio-based associates could’ve been here to witness it in person but, we’re grateful for everyone who was able to come here today, or watch from home. We all know that Meyer Shank Racing deserved a much better result at their ‘home race’ as well, but their excellent recovery effort keeps us in the thick of the GTD title fight with the Ohio-made Acura NSX GT3 Evo.
